As someone who is living a creative life, I am always thinking about my next piece of flash fiction, poetry or a scene from a novel in progress. And I love helping other writers get their words out into the world. 

My latest book, The Collection: Flash Fiction for Flash Memory, is a project of the heart – a call to action to get out and read to those who might be unable to read longer pieces because of memory loss. I loved writing my flash fiction piece inspired by my niece Caitlin.

I’ve taught workshops in creative writing, the power of the first chapter for fiction, how to create a successful anthology and more. My articles have been published in Canada’s ALIVE magazine and Australia’s THE SPHERE, been featured on ABC News in Green Bay, WI and quoted in the Huffington Post.

The two images you see here represent me at this stage of my life. I am a member of The International Women's Writing Guild (IWWG). What I love about the logo is that the woman writer the IWWG serves comes with or without portfolio, from here in the US or from Africa, Asia, Europe or elsewhere in the world. She might be a teenager seeking a writing mentor or a wise women who holds the cultural ethos and truth of her community.
