Article of the Month
This month I ponder the benefits of the Snuggie!

Welcome to 2010!
Are you completely astounded that a new decade has arrived?? I am - How did it get here so fast!
This coming Tuesday evening, January 19th, I’m the featured speaker on the Opening to the Divine Teleseminar Series. I’ll be talking about dreams, their purpose and meanings and how to work with your own dreams and the Law of Attraction to manifest the changes you want in your life. I love doing dream analysis - to me the rich language of symbolism that visits us in the dream state is deep spiritual guidance. I hope you’ll consider joining the program and opening to your own wonderful mystical world of dreams! You can read about the program just below.
From the seminar I learned that I am in a 1 (one) year numerologically and have just come out of a 9 (nine) year. Nine years I learned are all about completing the past and letting go of what you don’t want to bring forward into the new beginnings of a one year vibration. Without even knowing that I was in a nine year, I moved on in 2009 from the wellness center I had started in 2000, moved on from where I was living and into a new home and moved on in a few creative projects so I could embrace some new projects in 2010. It seems that I was aligned with my year’s number even on an unconscious level. So this year, now that I am educated about how to work with the vibration of my one year, I am so much more purposeful on what it is I am beginning.
So you may see some changes in my projects and work as the year moves forward. I’m excited about the new work ahead!

I just heard from the editor at my book publisher that the cover design for my book on Dreams and the Law of Attraction is ready. The book will be out in August of 2010 and here is a sneak peek at the cover just to whet your appetite!!

This month’s free mediation is about the next level of letting go - releasing the past - sometimes one of the hardest things to do. Yet, holding on to what no longer serves us keeps us from receiving what is waiting in our name. As we learn to truly put the past in the past, we open to receive on all levels of our lives. So use this month’s meditation to gently begin the process of releasing the past and opening to your present moment.
All free downloadable meditations of the month are available in the SHOP section of the website.

We’re having an AMAZING seminar series!
You can still register for the wonderful Opening to the Divine Seminar Program which began on Tuesday, December 29th at 7:00pm EST and concludes on Tuesday, January 26th. Here are what subscribers are saying about the series so far:
“Thanks for your great talk tonight . . . . I loved your opening meditation and the part about letting go of “our story.” It was quite beautiful and my energy has slowly elevated since listening.” ~~~ Maureen 12/29/2009 about the first evening with Stephen Thomson
“I’ve known Steve for years and assumed I would relish his talk but what I did hear from the astrologer was quite amazing.” ~~~ Michael 1/14/2010 about the second evening with spiritual astrologer Demitra Vassiliadis
Just this past Tuesday evening we heard from author and angel communicator, Karen Paolino, who shared her story of healing from thyroid cancer and overcoming financial struggles through following the guidance to work with the angels. Karen asked us all to use a simple question in any situation. We can always ask, “What would LOVE do?” and in that question we immediately open our hearts to divine guidance. It was a magical and elevating evening!
Each week each teacher has given us five action steps to take to transform our lives in this new decade. And everyone is loving the free bonus gifts!

Do I Really Need a Snuggie?
It’s that magical time again - a new year is upon us bringing with it all the relief that we made it safely through the old year and all the excitement and anticipation of what is ahead. It’s that time when we make all sorts of promises to ourselves that we mostly don’t keep. This year I have only one focus for all of 2010 and that is to SIMPLIFY my life. I’ve started already with going through boxes of old photos, stacks and stacks of files, libraries of books covered with dust and more decorative objects than you’ll find in a gift shop. I’ve moved a few times over the last seven years and each time I thought I had gotten rid of what I no longer need or use. But no! Here I am at the beginning of a new decade still lugging around a bunch of (very nice but not so necessary) stuff!
When I was very small I had these wonderful pjs with a flap in the back and little feet. Mine were blue and my sister’s were pink - otherwise it would have been hard to tell us apart, although she was taller by a little bit. I can actually still remember how those onesie pajamas felt and even how they smelled. They smelled just like my blankie that was always in my grasp, trailing along on the floor behind me wherever I went. That smell that I liked so much was the smell of my crib, my toys and myself. It was the most comforting smell in the world. I remember being completely distraught when my blankie (almost shreds) was put in the washing machine. What came out was no longer my blankie. Oh, it looked like my blankie but gone was that very specific smell that kept me safe at night from the monsters under the bed and the scary creatures just lurking to get me when I looked into the closet.
Why am I telling you about my blankie you must be wondering? Because, in a fit of blankie nostalgia, I purchased a Snuggie. You’ve all seen them on TV - perhaps you, too, have gifted loved ones with snuggies this year or gotten one yourself. Ah, the promise of warmth yet with hands free to read that magazine, change the channel on the remote and talk on the phone or eat dinner off your folding TV table. And, yes, my snuggie did all those things. The problem was that my snuggie was just a smidge more cumbersome than my blankie of old.
Day one - snuggie arrival - joy fills the household!
Later on day one - first snuggie wearing - really, really warm, isn’t it??
On day one of snuggie bonding, I discovered that my apartment’s heating system has the potential to turn my snuggie into something akin to a kiln. Within five minutes of snuggie delight I was so hot I thought I’d melt. It actually brought back memories of those hot flashes I used to have when I was first going through menopause. Back then I fantasized about designing a line of breakaway clothing for peri-menopausal women made out of a sponge like material that could wick moisture away from your body as fast as you could create it. I was going to call my fashion line “Coolies” - yes, you can borrow this idea and go on to your dreams of entrepreneurship! Just please don’t say I had anything to do with it.
Back to my snuggie story. As I got up to remove my snuggie the phone rang. On my way to the phone my snuggie, for some reason, did not keep up with me and I crashed into one of my sofa end tables. I was moving ahead but my snuggie was stuck somewhere back on the couch. By the time I extricated myself from my snuggie and limped to the phone I missed the call. Bruised and battered I went back to the couch, picked my blue snuggie up off the floor and thought about what it was I really needed. And then I got it!
All along what I had been wanting was a snuggle, not a snuggie! Which, now that I think about it, is exactly what that little girl wanted so long ago.
So, here’s to snuggles for all of us. May your life in 2010 be filled with snuggles, as many as you want to give and receive, as many as you can stand!
Snuggle on, people! Snuggle on!
