About
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” — Rumi
Cathleen O’Connor is an inspirational speaker, writer, and consultant providing workshops and mentoring services to individuals and organizations on new and effective approaches to work and life balance. Her unique five-part approach recognizes five key ingredients necessary for a fulfilling life experience: vital health, meaningful relationships, meaningful work, creative play and spiritual practice.
As a corporate vice president culminating a 30-year career in technology and technology management, Cathleen saw and experienced first-hand the stresses on the modern American worker trying to balance an ever-more demanding workplace with time for self and loved ones. As an entrepreneur and owner of a successful wellness center, StoneWater Sanctuary® in Westchester County, NY, Cathleen saw the value in integrating a variety of wellness approaches to maintain physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
Cathleen is a metaphysical minister and developed and taught a program in Spiritual Living from 2000-2009, focused on finding ways to make spirituality practical in application so real life change can be experienced. In 1999, Cathleen became certified as a Stress Management Consultant (CSMC) by the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT) and is also a certified hypnotist, often using hypnosis techniques to help clients deal with the negative effects of stress.
One of the favorite aspects of her work is mentoring other women in business to help them fully express their unique gifts. As a 30-year veteran of corporate life, Cathleen loves to assist women in developing effective techniques in leadership and management that naturally flow from who they are. Whatever business you are in or trying to start she can help you crystallize your vision, develop your message and even provide marketing content for websites, brochures or speaking engagements.
Cathleen has a private counseling/coaching practice in Westchester County, NY and continues to speak and write on a variety of topics which support personal and professional growth and development. Her new book, The Everthing Law of Attraction Dream Dictionary, published by Adams Media, is due in August of 2010. In addition, Cathleen’s fable for women about life balance, Harriet Takes the Wheel will be reissued in paperback in late spring, 2010.
